SKF has been developing and designing bearings, seals and lubrication systems since 1907. It was founded in Gothenburg, Sweden and employs more than 40,000 people across its manufacturing sites.
The company offers a wide range of bearing greases, which have a reputation for quality and performance. All of the SKF range of greases have been extensively tested in real applications. Strict quality controls during the manufacturing process make sure that every batch of lubricants is reliable and of consistent quality.
SKF makes greases suitable for general applications and for specialist uses. LGMT 2 is a mineral-based grease for bearings that is thickened with a lithium soap. It has excellent thermal stability, is premium quality and is suitable for a wide range of automotive and industrial applications.
For electric motor bearings that work at high temperatures, SKF has developed LGHP 2. This premium-quality grease has a long life at high temperatures and excellent corrosion protection. For extreme temperatures up to 260 degrees Celsius, it has developed the LGET 2 bearing grease. LGLT 2 can be used for motors and tools operating at very low temperatures and high speeds.
For food processing workplaces, LGFP 2 is a food-grade grease that is based on a non-toxic medical white oil in a complex soap. To combat the concern of environmental contamination., the LGGB 2 bearing grease, which is biodegradable and non-toxic, has been developed.
